Fire, Fermentation & the Soul of
Seoul

At the heart of Koreatown, Mong brings the ancient techniques of Korean cooking — open-flame grilling, slow fermentation, hand-pulled noodles — into a dining experience that honors tradition while embracing the bold energy of Los Angeles.

Korean cooking is a conversation between fire and time — and at Mong, every dish is an answer.

Our Story

Rooted in Tradition,
Born in Los Angeles

Mong was born from a simple belief: that Korean food, at its best, is one of the world's great culinary traditions — and it deserves to be experienced with the same reverence as any fine cuisine.

Our kitchen is led by chefs trained in the classical techniques of Korean cooking — the patient fermentation of kimchi and gochujang, the precise temperature control of bulgogi, the rhythmic pull of kalguksu noodles by hand.

But Mong is also a Los Angeles restaurant. We source from local farms, experiment with new ingredients, and create a space where the energy of Koreatown meets the craft of a serious kitchen.
